BYOB Wedding Venues in Austin
Weddings are notoriously expensive and even with the smallest weddings you need to factor in the cost to rent the venue, catering charges, and the upcharge on drinks many venues charge. Managing your wedding budget can easily get out of hand, however, one of the best ways to save money and better use your wedding budget for the more touching details is to choose a venue that allows you to bring in your own alcohol. This will give you exponentially more control over the cost of your drinks and the drink choices.
Luckily for those in the Austin area, there are plenty of stunning venues that offer BYOB – here are some of our favorites that Party Pony Trailers frequently partners with!
1. The Ginger Ranch
The Ginger Ranch in Fredericksburg is perfect for couples looking to host their guests the entire weekend. With a two-bedroom farmhouse, five guest cabins, swimming pool, hot tub, and 65 acres, there is something for everyone. The ranch offers a variety of spaces to host your wedding including a party barn, celebration pavilion, and ceremony arch; these spaces can accommodate 100 guests or less. The Ginger Ranch is a totally hands-off venue when it comes to planning, meaning you can use all your own vendors to create the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.
2. Le San Michelle
Le San Michelle is a private 12-acre gated event space located just south of Austin in the town of Buda. This venue will transport you to the Italian or French countryside with its picturesque limestone home-turned-event-space, seasonal gardens, fountains, and ponds. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces will provide the perfect backdrop for your ceremony, reception, and photos. Le San Michelle can accommodate up to 300 people in their outdoor spaces while the indoor capacity is 80 cocktail guests, making it the perfect space for any size affair.
3. Wagon Springs Ranch

They offer several locations on the 270-acre ranch to host your wedding including a magnificent barn, covered pavilion, historic oak grove, and scenic deck. There is also an outdoor kitchen, on-site cabins, and bridal and groom suites to make sure your special day runs smoothly and is convenient for your wedding party and guests. Wagon Springs ranch can accommodate over 300 people in their outdoor spaces and 150 guests (plus a dance floor) in the barn.
4. Mercury Hall
Mercury Hall boasts over one hundred years of history with options for both indoor and outdoor weddings. The hall was formerly a church, but in 1997 the building was moved to Austin in four separate pieces and then renovated so that the original aesthetics remained, but modern amenities could be added. The hall itself is rustic and elegant, while the surrounding grounds and furnishings used throughout are more modern. The venue’s versatility makes it the perfect option for ceremonies and receptions of all styles, no matter how casual or formal you want your event to be. The Rock Garden Courtyard just outside the hall can host between 150- 200 people while the Ceremony Terrace can accommodate up to 250 guests.
